“Crisis management in particular is an interesting research area since it requires instant insight of the situation in case of a crisis event. A collaboration platform supports this information gathering and analysis, but can also enable various expert groups like police and fire departments to collaborate and communicate in a real-time environment. Research has proven that these expert groups, making ad-hoc decisions, reflect to be one of the main reasons for further escalation in case of a crisis” says Eldert van Schagen, Principle at TopForce.
